As you know we have them come and go all the time. Bunny, is now staying with us and progressing slowly but surley at being terrozied and torment and dropped off pregnant, loss her babies. and both front paws broken and face all cut up.. she is beautiful now, her paws will never be normal , her face and of course her fear in with her always. She will let me groom her now, she loves being brushed, she plays with John, I can pet her and she even comes to her food dish now.. each day she takes another baby step but one wrong move sends her into a terror freeze up.. my heart breaks for her..
I have had over 20 spayed and neutered, found homes for five, and even help Dr K save a pure white Persian boy and found him a home in Florida with a friend of ours. He rode in the cockpit with the pilots all the way. They just loved him. His owner had many persians and said he would not use his litter. The truth was a few agressive cats would beat him up and he feared the litter tray. I never had a problem the week I had him nor has he ever been bad in his new home. He goes to the senior citizen home and watches while his servant plays bridge, they all love him.
At this time I have a feral that has been here for 3 years a beautiful tiger marked tabby short hair domestic. but he is healthy and strong a loves his freedom, I feed him and give him a warm place to stay and he is netuered.. I will never understand why people do this?

How can anyone harm another living creature like this? I don't get it and never will. If caught these people should do jail time.
Bunny sounds like she is thriving in your home Pat because she knows she is loved and treasured. What a fortunate kitty.
I have only seen one feral in my neighborhood. We have woods behind our home and I hear cat fights at night in the summer time coming from the woods. The one feral I saw actually tried to attack my cats through the glass door. It was scary and he may have been rabid.
Please keep us updated on Bunny as this is such a great story and Bravo to you Pat for saving her too!

Actually, I can do one worse for you. I have a couple that are closeby. They have a gorgeous brown tabby and white DLH that is DECLAWED, spayed and all and they put her OUT at night. They say they live by the old creed "put out the cat and bring in the dog at night". Stupid stupid people. I just know one day I am going to either see her lying in the road hit by a car or torn to shreds by some predator from the woods or never see her at all again. It breaks my heart.
I have tried to talk to them but they are stubborn and believe they are doing nothing wrong.... Some people. They don't get it. Pat, to them, it is just an animal. Not as much worth to them as a human.... Which is also and animal.

Reading stories like this makes me so sad! I use to work for a company that was situated in a wooden area. It became a convenient drop off area.

I used to have strays in our old neighborhood and many of them found the way to our home. I have only seen one or two in the 4 yrs. we have been in this house. Luckily they look well cared for. I do not understand the attitude or thinking of some people.
