I thought I'd share this poem that I really love. I've credited the author below (well, I don't know her real name, only her screen name), but just to be clear, I did not write this. A lady who posts on www.petloss.com did. That board is an excellent resource for those grieving.
NO WORLD CAN KEEP US APART
My time has come, I must say Good-bye,
Please mom don't you worry, please don't you cry.
I'm surrounded by Angels and a sweet heavenly glow,
I'm in good hands, mom, I want you to know.
Don't ever think that you've failed me,
That's simply not so,
You would've given it all to save me,
Believe me, I know.
I will always remember the love that we shared,
Nor will I ever forget, just how much you cared.
God needed me in Heaven,
He called me to his side,
Don't cry for me, mommy, it'll all be alright.
I know that you'll miss me,
But have faith and you'll know,
That someday you will hold me once again,
God promised us so.
I shall come to see you,
Look close with your heart,
We are forever connected in spirit,
No World can keep us apart.

Here is Mickey's angel photo to go with the poem ~

Thank you Renee. The poem is beautiful
What a gorgeous angel kitty Mickey is.
I have a special place in my heart for brown tabbies. My first Persian was a brown tabby |

That was a beautiful poem, Renee, and definitely like something your precious Miss Mickey would have said!
Angel Princess Lucie echoes the sentiment...

Thanks Celeste! My friend Vonda made the angel wings and halo. She is in one of those Catster PSP groups. |

Renee I read this for the first time before Buddy died on Thursday night. I am re-reading it today and finding so much comfort in this poem. Thank you--- I really needed this tonight.
