Thanks for this site Celeste. I am not sure if this is the one, but every week there is a short segment on a local news show with a "Judy" and one of her adoptable pets. I  am going to check a little more to see if this is it.

I think these places are wonderful and certainly need help and as much exposure as they can get. :heart

She has the cutest dogs and cats on TV and many of them get adopted after they have that exposure. What a good thing.

I am going to changeout our front page and replaced Romeo in the refrig :rolleyes with the adoption center.  I think I know everyone here that has rescued cats and I will probably do a collage of 4-5 of them representing this section so adoptions will get more coverage.

That's a nice thing to do Celeste. However, make sure Romeo gets his day in the spotlight too. :big grin

The nice thing about the cat shows I have been attending is that rescue shelters have many of their cats at the show for adoption. I like that.

I do believe in breeding cats for the right reason by the right people and I like having the choice of buying a pedigreed cat or having the choice to adopt a homeless one. Different circumstances make sense for different people. It's just nice to see the two mind sets working together.

I can also tell you I feel like I have "rescued" several of the cats I bought as the place they came from was horrible.

I am a member of CROM--cat rescue of Maryland and proud of their work.

Please post a picture!  My time is limited at the moment here but I did enjoy commenting to your posts and WELCOME!!

Binky's breeder is a dear friend of mine and the most ethical person I have ever met in the Cat World. Her mindset is quality over quantity and she is dedicated to improving the silver/golden persian breed. I believe in continuing the persian breed and this needs to be done by responsible breeders like Binky's.
