I know how it feels Joane. Yesterday I had to drive a couple of hours to finalize the sale of my brother's property so his son could have some money. I felt so bad driving through the area, even though I had not been to it before. I just knew how much it meant to my brother. All of a sudden my mind went to Missy's last trip in her carrier to the vet, where she was put to sleep. It was just like the day it happened. She was one of my special bond kittys and I still hurt, over three years later. :cry

Yes Dianne, I know that feeling. I still break down and cry over my  lost loved ones. We learn to cope but we never completely get over it.

I lost my brother a year ago and he always spent Thanksgiving with me. His children live out of state and his wife is a nurse and always worked holidays. I thought just the other day about Thanksgiving and about making the corn casserole for Ted. Then reality hits  and you remember, your loved one is gone.

I am very sorry for your loss too Dianne.

Gals...losing our loved ones, four-legged and two-legged alike are the hardest things that we have to go through.  My heart goes out to all of you who have - God bless  you all - I know my grandmother always loved Thanksgiving with us and passed a few days before Christmas...the holidays are always bittersweet - we love and miss her so much, but we are grateful that we still have each other.  God bless all - Lanie
