A burmilla was the result of a silver chinchilla Persian having an oops breeding with a Burmese I believe.  How far back are the chinchilla Persians in the pedigree of your baby?

Burmilla cat was born in Great Britain in 1981, where it was first founded the Cat Club on this race. Its ancestors are a Burmese and a Chinchilla Persian. The Burmilla is especially widespread in Denmark and England. The Burmilla today has a well defined morphology, but the start of the selection has taken much effort. Two years after the birth of the first, the race got the official recognition by the Cat Association of Britain, during the presentation of some examples in the exhibition. Later also recognizes the FIFe.

brumilla is the son of a Persian and Brumes! :big grin

I found it! Here is a description and I saw a photo. Love those eyes!

The Longhaired Burmilla is an elegant and beautiful breed developed from the shorthair Burmilla programme, which began with an accidental mating between a Burmese and a Chinchilla in the UK. It combines a longer but still relatively easy care silver coat with the delightful personality combination of clever affectionate Burmese and easy going sweet tempered Chinchilla. The breed was developed by using the naturally occurring longhairs that came through the shorthair programme, and by crossing back to Chinchilla in the early generations.
