Where do some of your edited photos come from?Cat, when I first joined Catster almost 1 year ago! Gee...time flies. I wondered where you get some of neat editing features I see in Mandu's and Hantu's photos.
All I have is Adode Photoshop on my desktop. Anytime I do a search to see what is out there I come up empty handed. I do admit that I don't have much patience. :(

I belong to several digital scrapbooking groups. You join some are free but one I pay. I'll send you the URL's if you want. They don't take anything special except photoshop or something similar. I love them! I wish I could design my own...I probably could if I worked at it but this is just easy.

I think you are excellent with Photoshop Celeste. I took classes in it but don't use it everday. At work, I have Adobe Illustrator and fumble around with it.
For some edits, Photobucket has some cool things and so does snapfish.com
http://blingee.com/ lets you add glitter to your graphics but you have to take their logo on your pics too.

I often just use images from google. When me and Keir made the ship picture for Catster, I just searched Google images until I found a large picture of a boat deck. You can usually find something good on there.

Quite often I capture background pictures from google. Just remember to find ones with a high resolution so when you enlarge them, they're not pixilated. Here's one lots of you will remember, LOL

Sharon, when you do a google search how much info do you provide?
For example, I would like to find textured background images, may they be .jpeg or .gif and I need a full screen size. I only have one background that I like within Adobe that I can use as a trim for our banner. :(
What would I ask for?

I'd go into google images and and put in textured background and maybe the colour that you want. I just try loads of searches until I find something that I like. There is an option in the search to look for small, medium, large and extra large pictures.

I have a bunch of backrounds, Celeste. Do you have anything special in mind?

Hi Cat  Dismissing our upcoming holidays, I like to try to match the screen value of this forum. As far as the backgrounds that Adobe Photoshop has already set (I could make my own ) the one I am using is a cloud background and is the only preset background template I have that matches.
I was also thinking possible glitter. The width needs to be a minimum of 850 pixels.

I search photobucket too for images. Many are no good but I've found some good ones there as well. I used to get them from webshots but now they don't allow saving pictures from their site and no way around it that I have found.
I would like to have some url's for your digital scrapbooking groups if you don't mind? Sounds interesting.

I can't get Photobucket at work, Jean, which is where I do most of my "designing". I will go to my scrapbooking groups and see if there is a link to send to a prospective member. Digital Scrapbook Place is more of a pay site where you pay for the elements. I buy my best ones from there. The other sites I mentioned are free but usually only once a month and they want you to buy "add-ons". I made my pumpkin by going to google and looking for instructions on how to draw it myself. It was relatively easy although some explanations were given with the supposition that you knew what you were doing in the first place. I have been given several books by friends who are designers but they're strictly photoshop. I'm sure you could find some for PSP, as well. I'm not going to post it yet but I've already done my Christmas card for this year (Yes Tomi, I know, it's only October!) but it's one I did totally on my own with no elements at all...I "drew" it all from scratch!
Whew......this was wordy!
