shampoo quest

At our last show one of my favorite vendors had some shampoo at a clearance price. Since I had never used it I only bought one bottle - that was a mistake! I should have bought every bottle he had. I love it. So far I have been unable to find it in the United States to buy. I know most of you don't show, but in your surfing of the net if you run across Vitacoat Marron shampoo available in the US, let me know please! I can order from the UK but not sure what it would cost.

Will do Lynda!  Does it help coats like Josh's which are fine and limp?
JoaneWing

I just researched this and everything is out of the UK. OR, the page has expired! I will keep trying Lynda.

It is a color enhancing shampoo, but I think it makes the coat silky feeling to. I kick myself for not buying more - it was only $3.00 a bottle on clearance. I did also buy some by mistake that I thought was for silvers, but when I read the label at home I found it was for black cats. I am giving it to a friend who has black Persians since I don't see a black kitty in my future.

thanks Joane. I have been searching this AM to with no luck. I guess if I don't find it before I use it all I'll go back to the Jerob Mahogany Gold.

I hope to go to a big show in March. I will check out the vendors there too. I have a personal vendor I like. Let me see if I can find her email address. She may be able to help you. Her husband is a Vet and they are out of NJ.

I thought that I would provide an update on the shampoo saga. Still haven't found it in the states, but that might not be a bad thing. I have discovered that after using it for probably 4 or 5 baths we have WAY MORE matting than before. It used to be that I could comb the boys  between shampoos and just find a few tiny snarls. Now we have mats. I am not talking about little ones either. I think the bottle I have will last a very long time since I only plan to use it once in awhile. This is the time I ask myself "Why didn't I choose a short haired cat breed to show?" Not sure now if Boo will be ready for the New Hampshire show (if I can afford to go) in a week and a half. Maybe the one in Groton,Ct the week before Valentines Day would be better.

Lynda for sheen and a silky look, I have been using EQyss shampoo and conditioner.  It works well for Romeo and Mollie since they have a dry brittle coat. Did not work as well for Unity since she developed mats. :sad
I just thought I mention it since it looked like Maggie has the same texture as my Mollie.

EQyss is a good product. I am considering ordering some clarifying shampoo and degreasing shampoo from Davis. They are reasonably priced and I have heard good things about them.

I bought Davis Best Luxury Shampoo at a show for $12.00. It smells fabulous! I liked it.
