Maggie update

She seems to be healing fine, although the shivering is STILL happening. All her presurgery blood work tested within normal ranges so he has no clue as to why she is shivering. Her attitude is back to what it was prepregnancy. She swatted me this morning when she came to be petted - I got 2 strokes in then she let me have it.  I am hoping the spay will calm her down somewhat but I know she will never be a lap cat.

I am sorry Maggie is still shivering and I hope she feels better. Maybe in time Maggie will become a cuddler as she grows older Lynda.
Celeste

Lynda, I'm also sorry to hear this about Maggie and hope the shivering stops shortly.

Maybe after a little time and Maggie is fullly healed will she cozy up to you more....... :smile

Poor baby!  I feel so sorry for them when they have to go through painful things.  She was spayed right?  Freddy just got neutered but that is far less invasive!  I hope your Maggie girl gets back to normal soon.  Although it sounds like a more affectionate version of normal would be preferable!

How is Sassy doing - it's been a few weeks since her spay - is she still shivering?? Lanie

Yes she is still shivering. I am beginning to think maybe it was something that is just  going to happen - maybe she did it before the problems but she never let me hold her so I noticed it. The vet doesn't seem concerned. I have seen a slight improvement in attitude since the spay (don't want to jinx myself though!).
Celeste

An attitude adjustment maybe? :smile   I'm happy to hear that Maggie is getting softer in her old age. :wink

I hope she continues to heal. Is she on any meds? My Missy started doing that after she had her eardrums rupture and we don't know if it was a reaction to the meds or the pain she was in. She had a piece of broken bone from the circular bone in her ear that was lodged in her ear canal. We took her off meds at the same time they found the bone and removed it so we aren't sure, the vet was leaning more to pain.

Awwww poor little girl...well I am hopeful that it is just a "thing" that she does (the shivering)  from being nervous and I am lad to hear that she is warmin up....even if it's just a little bit.  Maybe over time............Thanks for the update!  Lanie
Celeste

Lynda, how is Maggie doing these days?

Maggie is just Maggie.  :confused  I think she is mellowing out somewhat since she no longer growls at me when I pet her. I doubt she will ever be a lap cat but as long as she is happy I don't care.
princessprecious

Well that's a start...and yes, the babies being happy is what makes us happy  :smile  Lanie
Celeste

I agree Lynda! :smile   Yes if they are happy, we are happy. :smile   I'm glad  to hear Maggie recovered well.
JoaneWing

Happy to hear Maggie is doing well now Lynda.

Maggie,

Hi Lynda, :kitty

I'm so glad to hear that your litta Maggie is doing betta! My previous kat Buffy St. Marie was very sick her last 3 years. She'd let me know who's boss. Being sick is not nice.
So, I let her be her own katpurrson, I felt terribly hurt that she wouldn't let me pat, pick her up or even kiss her. I told her everyday how much I loved her.
Then I realized too, that when they are sick just like us hoomans we want to be left alone.

God bless you litta Maggie. We are purring fur you to stay healthy, & happy sweetheart.  :heart

Lubbs & ((((hugs))))
