Jesse's sore eye

My wild child has a sore eye. I have started him on RX antibiotic medication. If no better, Monday he goes to the Vet. He is so active he may have something foreign in it or scratched it. Or allergies to the dust from the remodeling in my home. He is turning me gray---LOL!
Celeste

Thank God for Clairol Joane! :lol   Josh is always getting himself in trouble with his eyes.  Please tell me how does someone get a piece of food on their eye? :rolleyes
JoaneWing

I know---LOL! And yes--thank goodness for Miss Clairol. She lives here too.

Hope his eye gets better quicky and is not something more needing a vet. I know how stressful eye problems can be.
JoaneWing

Thank you so much Dianne. I knew you would understand my concern.

You have my best wishes too, Jaone: I know how nervewracking it is to have a sick furchild. (I think administering medicine is one of the worst!) Let's hope Jesse will improve through the weekend.
Sheryl

Joane, sorry to hear Jesse has a sore eye. Sending lots of healing magic your way. Give the gorgeous boy a cuddle from me.

I know just how worrying eye problems are.
JoaneWing

Yes Sheryl, you have been through so much with eye troubles too. Thank you and thank you too Frances for your good wishes.

Jesse looks much better today. If he continues to improve like this I will not take him to the Vet. I am a germaphobe because of some bad experiences of picking up things  at former Vets'  offices. One was deadly and killed my puppy.

This is good news Joane! :smile   I don't blame you.  I actually locate the spray disinfectant and wipe down the table myself.  If they only knew.  :rolleyes

Steve actually got upset with me once for doing this.  He no longer comes with me on doctor's visits.  Am I thick headed, or what? :lol
Sheryl

That is good news Joane.

I also worry when my babies visit the vet. You never know what they may come home with.

Joane, what a dreadful experience, to loose your puppy at the vets.
JoaneWing

Celeste you are just being smart and cautious. Good for you!

Thank you again Sheryl. Yes I was a teenager and my parents bought me a beautiful collie puppy for Christmas. Her name was Misty. She was healthy until she went for her routine shots. Caught parvo and died. This was when whole kennels were being wiped out. There was no vaccination at the time. My Vet had several dogs die because it was so highly contagious.

This is where my fear of germs stem from for my animals. I am very protective.
Sheryl

Joane, how is Jesse's eye today?
JoaneWing

Thank you for asking Sheryl. It looks much better! I am having a lot of remodeling done to my house and maybe the dust has irritated his eyes. Of course that flat little face is always a problem too. He slept on my pillow all night holding my hand. He is so sweet!

I'm pleased to hear that Joane. Yes those little flat faces, and big eyes can be a problem.
What a sweetheart!!!!

I am so glad it looks better :smile  Since Sparky started having eye issues her eyes get irritated so easy, even if the there is a breeze coming through an open window it makes her paw at her eye, I can see where dust would irritate his eyes.

JoaneWing

Thank you so much girls. No, Jesse is doing so much better that I did not go to the Vet's today. I am keeping a close watch and if anything looks worse, off we go!
princessprecious

Hi Joanie....just wondering is Jesse is still doing okay with  his eye??  He sure is a beautiful boy in that pic on the Homepage there!!  Lanie
JoaneWing

Thank you Aunt Lanie! Jesse's eye looks much better. I am faithfully using the lubricant drops each day as well. Definitley on the mend and thank you for asking!
princessprecious

JoaneWing

Thank you Lanie dear!!!
Sheryl

Pleased to hear sweet Jesse is doing well with his eye issue.

I use a Lubricant twice a day in Hamish's remaining eye.
JoaneWing

Thank you Sheryl. And thank you for telling me twice a day use is OK. I have just started doing this twice daily on Jesse.

Joane, my vet advised me to use it for Hamish twice a day. He will  require this twice a day for life. We are taking no chances with his remaining eye.

Using it twice a day for Jesse, will certainly help soothe any irritation.
JoaneWing

Thank you Sheryl--twice a day it is!

I hope he continues to do well. Sparky has to have the tears ointment at least twice a day, it depends on how her eyes look. I also put the tears drops in at lunchtime. Sometimes she needs heavy duty stuff, viral and antibiotics. It definitely keeps me close to home. :argh  Glad he is doing well :big grin
JoaneWing

Just wanted to say Jesse's eye looks well. I did the second round of meds prescribed by my Vet and started the lysine. Thanks again for all of the wonderful advice.

You girls are the BEST!!!!
Sheryl

I am so pleased to hear this news Joane.
Celeste

Yippee!  Now all Jesse needs to do is stay out of trouble. :wink
princessprecious

Great news for Jesse Janie..I figured he was seeing pretty well with that night vision as he was playing on your dresser last night and knocking off your nail polish!!  :lol  He's back to normal - finally!! Thanks for the update!! Lanie
