Until I can set things up correctly, I had induced ovulation done by the vet place who bathes Zofia, since my accident earlier this year. May have to do it again tomorrow, but better than her tearing up her fur, and keeping hubby up all night.  I guess they use a glass rod, of which I did read about.

Now, back to the business of getting my health back, working, and finding a new house! I have a few picked out - one is older, Spanish style, but has stolen my heart...I've been hoping it would go on the market, and Zofia and I found it TOGETHER today!

Purrs & hugs,

Julie

Good luck Julie in your house search.  I didn't even know that this could be done.  If it works, why not? :smile

Okay, the artificially induced ovulation cost $15, with two tries. It causes a 'false pregnancy'. It took a few days, but she's fine now - after shredding the tail fur at the base, so she can't be shown until it grows back, grrrrr!

I had this done, because feline birth control is allegedly dangerous; there are fertility specialists to speak with. What I've read, says some types of medications are fairly safe, according to the Vet Universities, but most vets in practice may not be up to par with the latest and err on the side of caution.

And for the record, they used the thicker side of a thermometer on Zoe, not the mercury end - I declined to be in the room, because I didn't want her to associate me with that kind of anger! :red face They said she'd hopefully be out of season, until spring.
