Thank you Celeste for honoring my dear Buddy as this week's home page star. And Buddy truly is a star in Heaven. I miss him more as time goes by.
Buddy had just turned 3 years old when he died last August late at night in the Pet ER. He threw a blood clot. He had HCM, a genetic heart disease. Buddy also had PKD. How a tiny 5 pound shaded golden persian cat can touch my heart so deeply is beyond my comprehension. We had a special bond and I only had Buddy 1 year, 3 months, and 3 days. But his memory and love that he gave to me will always live in my heart.
Rest in peace Buddy |

I remember that evening well Joane and find it hard to believe 1 year has past. May Buddy rest in peace. He touched and will continue to touch the hearts of everyone who believes in good breeding practices and will settle for nothing less.

A beautiful, and extra special home page star
I also remember that evening very well, with great sadness.
You were so loved and very sadly missed.
RIP Buddy. |

Oh...dear little Buddy looked like Josh...another "Kitten Lucie Never Had...."
She is sending angel sparkles your way to let you know he is safe, healthy and happily playing at the Bridge... |

Joanie: What a beautiful tribute to Buddy and such a kind gesture from you, Celeste. I remember that day very well.....I was just heartbroken for you and was up half the night juts wondering what I could do to try to cheer you up. I know you had a special bond with Buddy and it was such a sudden and tragic loss for you. You wi ll be reunited one day...Buddy is not forever gone and certainly not forgotten.
May your beautiful memories of Buddy, albeit for such a short time, remain with you until you meet again.
WE LOVE YOU AND SEND OUR HEARTFELT PRAYERS!!!! XOXOXO

Joane, I guess I was caught up in all of the disasters of Tara being sick, then I was sick, then your Buddy, others, and dealing with Purrvette's sinus infection, that turned out to be something else.
When you make a connection on a soul level, it matters not whether you have them for a week, a year, or nearly 14 years.
Buddy's story hurts me too, because his problem is what Purrvette had, but I guess she was "Autosomal", so she snuck by with only one chromosome of the PKD, and had the HCM, all so faint. Her kidneys felt like PRUNES!
To be honest, I DID take her in to UC Davis, since a kidney transplant cures PKD - only side effect, you keep the donor kitty!
Lots of hugs and love,
Julie |

Thank you girls for your kind comments and for remembering my special Angel Buddy.
I will not let Buddy's life be lived in vain. He had genetic health issues which keeps me mindful to ask people to breed for health first, last, and always. |

I wasn't here at that time and so I had not heard the story, how sad, such a young beautiful boy. What a nice tribute Celeste. |
