In all the years I have owned and loved my persian cats, I can honestly say each and every one of them have been sweethearts. Am I just lucky? Have any of you owned a nasty persian cat?

No Joane I can't say I ever had. Romeo who I thought could be problematic with Unity never was. He simply doesn't like Mollie and chases her at times. That is as close as I have gotten to nasty.

Well, let me remind you of my Maggie and her mother, Savannah. Both are sweet as pie when it suits them, Savannah more than Maggie. They are nasty when it comes to grooming - REALLY nasty! I use an E-collar on them to comb and still struggle to stay ahead of the mats. Savannahs breeder says it is because I let Savannah get away with it. Probably true. I just don't relish getting bitten.
The nastiest Lucie ever got was "hissy and growly" when I combed her. Again, it's probably I indulged her too much by putting it off instead of getting her in the habit of doing it every day.

I have never heard of a nasty Persian or himilayan, but those barn and alley cats can be pretty wild !!

I have been blessed. My persians, and exotics have the sweetest temperaments . I don't think they have a mean bone in their bodies.
